Visiting cards, Internet, Serbian Conclusion

Pretty busy with work now. Next week I'll be starting with new students, a civil engineer and a doctor. I ordered some visiting cards this morning, in one of those places where they do customised T-shirts, to which I was directed by the Man. City supporting copy shop owner. I went upstairs to a gallery area, whilst the owner showed me various options on his PC. In the end I plumped for some Greek style lettering and a blue wave pattern.
There's been a lot going on on the internet in the flat front recently. An engineer came and then there as a trip to the main shop in the centre, lots of phone calls, visits to the estate agent's with messages for the landlord.... The latest message from Achilles, the estate agent, was that it should be sorted out in the next few days.
It's been cloudy and cooler today, but still no wind, which is a big plus for me.
The conclusion to the story about giving a lift to a Serbian policeman, apart from the fact that we did eventually get to a petrol station after having been disappointed by one that was only on the other side of the motorway, ws that it gave me a certain amount of moral courage in dealing with some more Serbain policemen later in the day, when I was stopped for overtaking when I shouldn't have. My eloquent protestations, understood more on the level of gesture and emotion than verbally, about helping their colleague seemed to have considerable effect.
